Mac Operating system version, Paradox Interactive's 1st indigenous creation for Mac OS X was launched in May, 2012. This game features various historical personalities such as Constantine X Doukas, William the Conqueror, Harald Hardrada, Harold Godwinson, El Cid, Alexios I Komnenos, Richard One of England and Saladin. This game is a dynasty simulation where the gamer is enabled to control a Medieval dynasty from A.D 1066 to 1453 A.D. The strategic application of war, assassinations, marriages and and many other things, the player struggles to achieve power and strength for his dynasty. This simulation based game is open-ended so 'success' is totally player defined. One in-game objective is to achieve, as many prestige game points as we can so as 
to surpass the some historically relevant Christian king ships in a fictional ranking. The players fails when they die and does not have an heir for his throne. The collective holdings controlled by a single character is termed a Demesne. Which is limited for every character (the maximum amount of holdings being depended on a character's traits). In a situation in which a character has holdings above the restricted limit of their demesne, not only will they have to face revenue penalties, but the character's feudal lords will not be happy. Therefore, the game restricts players to give his extra land to vassals, in this way laying the basic principles of feudalism.
The game features a genetics and education functionality where a character's offspring will inherit most of their traits, skills, culture and religion. This gives an added strategy of marriages where a player can to breed the chosen individuals to polish the quality of future generation. A demo was launched in the beginning of the last year which portrayed 4 playable characters over a twenty year span. A marketing campaign for Crusader Kings II 2012 presented light comedy video clips on the lines of the Seven Deadly Sins. This game was awarded generally encouraging reviews and has got a metascore of 82\100 at Metacritic.
